What if your greatest pain could become your greatest purpose?
In this episode of Unveiling Journeys, Tiffany Alexander sits down with French-born visual artist Anne Plaisance—an internationally exhibited painter, curator, and founder of the powerful empowerment project Wonder Women Now.
Anne shares her unexpected path from studying economics at the Sorbonne, launching her own advertising company in Poland, surviving the 2008 financial crisis, and ultimately reinventing herself as a full-time artist in the United States.
What began as a creative pursuit evolved into something much bigger: using art to educate, empower, and bring awareness to the hidden forms of abuse that affect women everywhere.
Bio:
French-born visual artist and curator Anne Plaisance has presented more than 100 exhibitions worldwide, building an international career rooted in both creativity and courage. After studying economics at the Sorbonne and running her own advertising agency in Warsaw, she turned to art following the 2008 financial crisis, discovering it as both a vocation and a path to personal freedom. Now based in Massachusetts, Anne creates immersive, concept-driven exhibitions that make invisible emotional realities tangible. Her landmark project, Wonder Women Now, honors survivors of domestic violence through powerful visual metaphors that expose psychological and emotional abuse. A survivor herself, she transforms personal pain into purpose, using art to educate, empower, and inspire social change across cultures.
